BEFORE A REFERRAL

A few details
make the job easier.

Confirm the appointment before promising a pickup date to your customer.
  1. What needs to go?

Send photos and an item list. Separate belongings that must stay.

  2. Where and when?

Include the address, access details and deadline.

  3. Who approves the work?

Name the authorized contact. They approve the final onsite price before loading.

FOR THE BUSINESSES MAKING THE HANDOFF

A plan for the customers you serve.

Use the guide that fits your work, then check the actual pickup address. Current customer service is through JunkPDX; regional applications and planning do not confirm a pickup.

Real estate teams

Prepare a home for listing, closing or possession. Confirm what stays, the seller's approval contact, access and the deadline before referring a pickup.

Prepare the referral details

Estate-sale companies

Separate sold items, keepsakes, donations and leftovers. Share the remaining inventory, pickup access and who can approve the removal scope.

Plan the estate-sale handoff

Movers and moving coordinators

Identify unwanted items before the move or at the destination. Keep moving responsibilities, hauling scope and the customer's approvals clear.

Coordinate moving and removal

Professional organizers

Create a removal list after sorting is complete. Mark belongings that stay and obtain customer permission before sharing contact details or property photos.

Prepare an organizing handoff

Property management teams

Keep each turnover or bulky-item project separate, with its site contact, access rules, authorized items and completion requirements.

Build a multi-property brief

Independent hauling companies

Discuss overflow work by actual address, scope and deadline. Agree who contacts the customer, who approves changes and how any fees are handled.

BEFORE A BUSINESS HANDOFF

Clear answers for your team.

Can I refer a customer without becoming a partner?

A customer in the active JunkPDX area can use the coverage and booking path directly. The partner application is for an ongoing business relationship. Any routing preference, referral compensation or branded handoff needs separate written agreement.

What should I share before a referral?

With the customer's permission, provide the pickup city and ZIP, item list or photos, access details, deadline and the person authorized to approve the work. Share only what is needed to review the job. A referral does not reserve an appointment.

Can an estate-sale team arrange leftover removal?

Yes, subject to address coverage, scope and crew availability. Distinguish unsold belongings from sold items awaiting collection, keepsakes and items intended for donation. Identify who can approve the final price and any changes.

Does overflow help include white-label service?

Discuss customer contact, branding, scope, price approval and fees before agreeing to a handoff. White-label work is not activated by an application. The companies must confirm the arrangement and the specific job in writing.

Are referral fees automatic?

No. Any rewards, fees or compensation require written terms and program activation. The initial application starts review; it does not create a payment entitlement or guarantee referrals.

Can we refer customers anywhere in the Pacific Northwest?

Review each address separately. JunkPDX currently handles covered Portland metro, Vancouver and communities south to Woodburn. Seattle and Boise customer booking is closed, and wider coverage has not been announced. A business partnership does not create pickup availability in another market.

Is an overflow partner the same as a service provider?

An overflow partner asks for help with a job or customer handoff. A service provider applies to perform network work with its own crew and equipment. Seattle and Boise provider applications use a separate review and activation process.
