Couches, mattresses, tables and more. Find local help through PNW, with Portland–Vancouver pickups by JunkPDX. Get a free, no-obligation onsite estimate; the crew handles the lifting and hauling after you approve.
Plan a pickup for a sofa, sectional, mattress, bed frame, table, dresser or several pieces together. Include ottomans, foundations and loose parts in your item list so the estimate covers everything you want removed.
Tell the provider where each item sits. Share stairs, elevators, narrow doors, parking limits and long carries before the visit. You do not need to move heavy furniture downstairs just to prepare; confirm collection from its current location in the estimate.
Bed frames and large pieces
Some furniture needs taking apart to fit through doors or travel safely. Agree on included disassembly before work starts. Keep bedding, valuables and anything staying in the home separate from the removal items.
Tell the provider if you hope to donate usable furniture. Condition, facility rules, hours and capacity determine what is possible. A paid removal booking does not guarantee a donation destination.
Item size and count, truck space, labor, stairs, disassembly and disposal affect the estimate. Photos help with a rough range; the crew confirms the full onsite price before loading. Additional items need an agreed revised price.
For standard Portland–Vancouver pickups, the JunkPDX crew can load and haul the agreed furniture on the same visit after you approve the price. Your two-hour arrival window describes when the crew arrives. Larger or unusual projects may need a separate plan.
A sofa, a complete bedroom and an office full of desks need different plans. Start with every piece leaving, then describe how it will get from its current location to the truck.
One or two bulky pieces
Couches, mattresses, tables, dressers and chairs can be described individually. Include matching ottomans, bed foundations and loose components in the count.
Best starting point: full-item photos, approximate dimensions and the room or floor where each piece sits.
A room or matching set
Walk through the whole set before booking. A bedroom can include a mattress, base, frame, headboard and storage drawers, even when you think of it as one bed.
Best starting point: one wide room photo plus a written list of what stays and what leaves.
Furniture throughout a property
Group the list by room and floor. Mixed access, disassembly and multiple loading trips can make a whole-property request different from a single-item visit.
Best starting point: a room-by-room inventory and one person who can approve the complete scope.
What changes the estimate?
Volume
The full collection of pieces determines truck space; furniture names alone do not establish a load size.
Handling
Sleeper mechanisms, large glass panels, disassembly and stairs can change the work required.
Destination
Donation depends on condition and acceptance. A hauling appointment does not guarantee a donation destination.
Can I book removal of just one couch or mattress?+
Yes. A pickup can cover one bulky item or several accepted items. Check your ZIP for current local service and list every piece when booking.
Does furniture need to be downstairs or at the curb?+
Not necessarily. Describe the location, stairs and tight access beforehand, and confirm that collection from there is included in your estimate. Avoid moving heavy furniture yourself just to prepare.
Is the onsite estimate free if I decide not to proceed?+
Yes. JunkPDX offers a free, no-obligation onsite estimate in Portland–Vancouver. Removal begins after you approve the price.
Can you remove office desks, chairs and cubicles?+
Office furniture can be reviewed as a commercial pickup. Include quantities, building access and any dismantling needs. Built-in units and connected equipment need separate scope review.
Will all usable furniture be donated?+
No. Donation depends on the receiving organization’s rules, the condition of the items and available capacity. Discuss expectations before removal.
