Evaluate a PNW provider job after your costs
Compare two hypothetical PNW job worksheets showing the 20% network charge, 80% provider share and assumed crew, fuel and disposal costs.
A customer charge and a provider payout are different amounts. To evaluate a future PNW job offer, begin with the stated customer charge, apply the applicable network split, then estimate the direct costs your business would incur. A larger customer charge can leave fewer dollars after those costs.
These two worksheets are hypothetical arithmetic examples. The crew, fuel and disposal amounts are assumptions, not quoted rates or earnings forecasts. Use your own documented costs and the actual job details when evaluating an offer.
Start with the terms shown for the job
The current PNW job calculation starts from a 20% provider network fee and uses the provider account's recorded rate on the full approved invoice. This fee is separate from customer discounts. The provider remains responsible for crew, vehicles, equipment, disposal and other costs. The public agreement is a review draft; fee exclusions and payout timing still need completion before activation. The provider share is not take-home pay.
The planned offer model applies only after provider approval and market activation. Seattle and Boise are currently recruiting providers, with customer booking closed. Shared matching and payment tools remain in development. Applying does not activate your business or make these example jobs available.
Compare two assumed jobs line by line
Assume Job A has a $500 completed customer charge and straightforward access. Its 20% network charge is $100, leaving a $400 provider share. Assumed crew, fuel and disposal costs total $300, leaving $100 before overhead and taxes.
Assume Job B has a $700 completed customer charge but requires more crew time, travel and disposal expense. Its network charge is $140 and provider share is $560. The assumed direct costs total $535, leaving $25 before overhead and taxes. These examples exclude tips, refunds, payment adjustments and any different written job terms.
| Worksheet item | Hypothetical Job A | Hypothetical Job B |
|---|---|---|
| Completed customer charge | $500 | $700 |
| 20% network charge | $100 | $140 |
| 80% provider share | $400 | $560 |
| Assumed crew cost | $180 | $300 |
| Assumed fuel cost | $35 | $65 |
| Assumed disposal cost | $85 | $170 |
| Total assumed direct costs | $300 | $535 |
| Remaining before overhead and taxes | $100 | $25 |
Replace every assumption with your own information
Crew cost should reflect the people and time needed for the actual scope, including the travel, loading and disposal time your business includes in that calculation. Check stairs, long carries, disassembly, parking and vehicle capacity before assigning a number. Unclear access can materially change the work.
Estimate fuel for the actual route and disposal costs for the actual materials and facility. Keep those inputs separate so you can see why a job fits or does not fit your business. Insurance, vehicle ownership, maintenance, administration and other overhead are not deducted in this simplified worksheet.
- Check the item list, weight concerns and access photos.
- Estimate the full crew and vehicle time involved.
- Confirm suitable disposal options for the materials.
- Ask about missing scope details before accepting.
Keep the decision connected to written job terms
Providers may accept or decline offered work. PNW does not guarantee job volume, income or margin. If the onsite scope changes materially, obtain customer approval through the documented process before additional work or loading. Do not assume an added item automatically increases your payout.
Completion records, customer confirmation and accurate status affect payout eligibility. Review payout timing and potential holds during onboarding. The public provider agreement is a review draft and is not ready for signature; provider-specific terms and activation requirements must be completed before participation.
Common questions
Is the remaining worksheet amount provider profit?
It is only the provider share minus the three assumed direct cost categories shown. Overhead, taxes and other applicable costs or adjustments still need consideration.
Are these offers available to accept?
No. These are arithmetic illustrations. Future offers require provider approval and market activation; Seattle and Boise customer booking remains closed.
