Build an item-by-item refresh list
Record each item being replaced and its room, then list retained furnishings separately. A mattress, bed frame, and bedside table are three decisions, not one implied bedroom package. Note if an item is attached, assembled, or unusually large so the reviewer can assess the actual removal request.
Check guest supplies, linens, owner storage, and maintenance equipment before labeling a room for removal. Keep personal records and access devices outside the hauling area. If the property belongs to someone else, confirm that the person ordering the work has authority to dispose of the approved furnishings.
Coordinate replacements without creating a bottleneck
Confirm the delivery team’s scope, access needs, and placement arrangements independently. Do not assume they will remove old furniture or that the hauling crew will assemble replacements. The driveway, elevator, and entry route may not accommodate both teams at once, especially when furniture must pass through occupied staging space.
Plan what happens if a delivery changes or a replacement does not fit. Retaining a usable item temporarily may be better than authorizing irreversible removal before the owner has made that decision. The important point is to settle the owner’s instruction before the item is added to the removal load.
Protect the property’s operating schedule
Give the coordinator the actual date the property becomes accessible and when another person needs the space. Avoid treating an unconfirmed service window as a guaranteed readiness time for a guest. Cleaning, inspection, assembly, and repairs may all need their own time after the approved removal is finished.
Planning example: a living room refresh replaces a sofa and rug while retaining lamps and side tables. Photograph the two removal items, label the retained pieces, and coordinate a separate delivery appointment. Keep the next guest commitment tied to the full preparation plan rather than the hauling appointment alone.
Approve the work and check the inventory
PNWJunkRemoval, operated by Solely Junk LLC, currently reviews Portland–Vancouver requests for service through JunkPDX. Each ZIP, address, and scope must be checked; Seattle and Boise are not open. Pricing depends on volume, weight, access, and labor, and the onsite price is approved before loading.
After removal, compare the room with the retained inventory and note anything left outside scope. Arrange any required cleaning, assembly, or property checks separately. Ordinary nonhazardous hauling does not include handling unknown contamination or promising a rental is ready for occupancy, so disclose unusual conditions before scheduling the project.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Details worth settling early
Can pickup and delivery happen together?
They need separate confirmation and enough access for both teams. Discuss the actual property constraints before relying on simultaneous work or an immediate furniture exchange.
Will old bed removal include the mattress?
Only the approved scope determines what is included. List the mattress, frame, base, and any other pieces individually so the review and onsite approval are clear.
Is guest readiness guaranteed after hauling?
No. The hauling handoff concerns the approved items. Cleaning, assembly, inspections, and the owner’s readiness decisions remain separate parts of the rental preparation.
