Inspect after the moving inventory is settled
Walk through closets, cabinets, the garage, utility areas, and outdoor storage once the moving work is complete. Compare remaining items with the household’s moving list. A forgotten box may contain essential records, and furniture left in place may be waiting for a separate mover rather than disposal.
Use three immediate decisions: retrieve, retain at property, or approved removal. Keep uncertain belongings in a pending category until the authorized owner decides. If the property is rented, confirm removal authority and the relevant property instructions without asking the hauling crew to interpret lease obligations or ownership.
Describe the leftover materials accurately
Separate furniture, ordinary household clutter, packing materials, and any unusually dense contents in the request. Flattening or consolidating packaging can change how the pile looks, so send updated photos after preparation. Do not rely on the volume of the original moving load to describe what is left.
Flag appliances, connected equipment, chemicals, and other materials that may need additional review or exclusion. Ordinary nonhazardous hauling does not imply that all leftover substances can be accepted. Keep uncertain items separate and describe them rather than mixing them into a bag or carton marked simply as junk.
Arrange access after the household leaves
Confirm who controls the keys, entry codes, and parking after the move. If the household is already away, designate an authorized contact who can review changes and approve the onsite price. Avoid scheduling removal during a gap when the mover has returned a key but no property representative can provide entry.
Planning example: the moving team takes the family furniture, leaving a damaged dresser, empty cartons, and a box of documents. Retrieve the documents first, approve the dresser and packaging, and photograph the clear exit route. A final scan prevents an overlooked useful box from joining an otherwise straightforward removal load.
Use a specific final handoff
PNWJunkRemoval is a managed network operated by Solely Junk LLC. Current service is through JunkPDX for reviewed Portland–Vancouver addresses and scopes; Seattle and Boise are not open. Pricing considers volume, weight, access, and labor, with approval of the onsite price required before loading.
Compare completed work with the approved leftovers list and save a note about anything retained or excluded. A removal handoff is separate from a moving inventory claim, cleaning service, property inspection, or deposit decision. Describe the emptied areas accurately so the household or property manager can arrange the remaining steps.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Details worth settling early
Can hauling be booked before the move?
You can plan the sequence in advance, but update the request when the real leftovers are known. Scope, access, and the onsite price need confirmation before loading.
What if the movers left an item by mistake?
Keep it outside the hauling list while the owner decides how to recover or move it. The fact that an item remains does not establish that it should be discarded.
Does removal include a move-out cleaning?
Cleaning should not be assumed included. Define the hauling scope as approved contents, then arrange cleaning or inspection based on the remaining property condition.
