Identify exactly who approves what
Name the person authorized to approve disposal and the onsite price, along with a contact method they can use during the appointment. If a local helper provides entry, specify whether they also have decision authority. Do not let availability at the door accidentally become permission to change the scope.
Confirm the underlying authority over the belongings before requesting removal. Tenant, shared household, and estate decisions should be resolved by the responsible representative. Remote convenience does not establish ownership rights, and this planning process should not be used to bypass questions about whether an item may be removed.
Issue one current scope record
Use room names, item descriptions, and photographs that match the property’s labels. Mark remove, retain, and pending decisions explicitly. Include a revision date or another simple version reference so the access contact and approval contact know which list governs after several rounds of sorting.
Record exclusions and uninspected spaces in the same document. A blank room entry should not mean permission to clear everything inside it. Protect sensitive records in any images shared for review and focus the photo set on the contents and access information needed for the hauling decision.
Define the change process before arrival
Agree that newly discovered or added items require a new decision before loading. The reviewer should be able to describe the difference from the approved inventory and explain any price change. If the authorized person cannot be reached, unclear items should remain pending rather than being loaded on the assumption they would agree.
Planning example: the approved list contains two chairs, but the onsite contact points out a previously hidden cabinet. Send its description and photos to the authorized person, review the changed scope and price, and wait for approval. The original list is not a blanket instruction to clear the entire room.
Connect approval to the completion record
PNWJunkRemoval, operated by Solely Junk LLC, currently reviews Portland–Vancouver addresses for service through JunkPDX. Every ZIP, address, and scope needs confirmation. Pricing considers volume, weight, access, and labor; the onsite price must be approved before loading. Seattle and Boise are not open for remote or in person requests.
Keep the final approved inventory with the completion note, including retained items and exclusions. Arrange property locking and key handling through the access plan. Ordinary nonhazardous hauling does not include decisions about private records, valuables, hazardous material remediation, or legal property status, so those matters need their own responsible decision process.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Details worth settling early
Can I approve only from photos beforehand?
Photos help establish the intended scope, but the actual onsite price still needs approval before loading. Agree on a practical way to receive and confirm that assessment.
What if I lose phone access during the appointment?
Arrange the fallback in advance with an authorized contact. Without clear approval, disputed or added items should remain pending rather than being loaded based on an assumption.
Can a local helper approve a price increase?
Only if that responsibility has been expressly assigned to an appropriately authorized person. Make the limit of their role clear before the property is opened.
