Current service: Portland–Vancouver through JunkPDX. Seattle and Boise booking is closed. Check market status.
Use one agreed communication path
Before an arrangement is activated, establish who contacts the customer, which channel is appropriate, and who receives operational updates. The provider, network coordinator, and referring partner should not send competing versions of the schedule. Confirm the customer’s permitted contact details and avoid copying people who do not need access to the job information.
Give the crew a concise access summary and the correct on-site contact. If the decision-maker is different from the person meeting the vehicle, identify both roles. Do not send private background information to explain routine access. A message saying to call the building contact at arrival is usually more useful than forwarding an entire history of the customer’s situation.
Make the status accurate and actionable
An en-route message should only be sent when the crew is actually on its way under the agreed process. Include a realistic estimate where available, make clear that travel conditions can affect it, and state any immediate access request. Avoid a precise minute that the crew cannot support or language that suggests the job is completed before work has begun.
For example, an update might explain that the crew is heading to the property and ask the customer to confirm the approved loading entrance. It should not ask the customer to begin hazardous preparation or move difficult objects themselves. Keep the message focused on coordination, and leave scope or price changes for the appropriate review conversation.
Respond clearly when the plan changes
If a prior job runs long, a vehicle issue develops, or access becomes unavailable, notify the responsible coordinator promptly and follow the agreed customer-contact process. Explain the practical effect and the next confirmed step. Do not invent a new guaranteed arrival time merely to reduce frustration; uncertainty should be stated plainly until a workable update is available.
A change of vehicle or crew can also matter even when timing is unchanged. Report it if it affects identification, capacity, or the accepted work. The customer should know what to expect at the door, and the responsible parties should review any capability change before arrival. Do not send an unreviewed substitute and rely on the customer to resolve the mismatch.
Keep arrival separate from scope approval
Once on site, use the agreed check-in and scope-review process before loading. Arrival does not authorize removal of additional items or settle questions about ownership. If the customer is unreachable, follow the established contact procedure and document the situation without guessing that an unlocked gate, open garage, or visible pile gives unlimited permission to proceed.
PNWJunkRemoval is operated by Solely Junk LLC, with Portland–Vancouver active through JunkPDX. Seattle is recruiting and Boise is developing, with no confirmed network jobs there. These communication practices prepare an agreed provider process; they do not claim live tracking, automated notifications, dispatch, or guaranteed arrival coverage in developing markets.
KEEP THIS WITH YOUR PROJECT NOTES
Before you take the next step
- Agree who sends customer updates and which contact channel is used.
- Verify the on-site contact and the scope-change decision-maker.
- Send an en-route status only when it accurately describes the crew.
- Report delays or substitutions with the next confirmed practical step.
- Complete check-in and scope review before loading approved material.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Details worth settling early
Should every update include a precise arrival minute?
No. Provide an estimate only when it can be supported and distinguish it from the appointment window. Clear uncertainty is more useful than false precision, especially when traffic, a prior job, or site access is still unresolved.
Can the crew contact the customer directly?
That depends on the agreed service process and the customer’s contact permission. Establish the route before activation so the customer receives consistent updates and the network coordinator knows when important timing or access changes occur.
Does an arrival message mean the scope is approved?
No. It reports operational status. The actual removal scope, exclusions, and any changes still need the appropriate customer authorization and service review before work begins.
