How PNW commercial account credit works
Follow a hypothetical PNW commercial account ledger to understand shared credit, unpaid invoices, cleared payments and approval for over-limit work.
A commercial account can help a property manager organize approved pickups and payment terms. Its credit limit controls how much unpaid work the account can carry. Before requesting another pickup, compare the approved limit with the current unpaid balance across all approved locations.
The example below uses a hypothetical PNW account with an approved $1,000 limit. Every amount is an arithmetic illustration, not an actual customer offer, service quote or account approval. Your written account terms and approved job prices determine your own balance.
Follow the invoices and cleared payment
Now assume a second pickup is approved and produces a $400 invoice that remains unpaid. The balance becomes $350 plus $400, or $750. Available credit falls to $250. The table follows those events in order, then shows the first $350 invoice being paid with cleared funds.
A sent payment or screenshot does not establish that the account balance has been updated. Confirm that funds have cleared and the payment has been applied before relying on restored credit. Paying $350 restores $350 of available credit in this example; it does not erase the other $400 invoice.
| Hypothetical account event | Unpaid balance | Available credit |
|---|---|---|
| Existing unpaid invoice: $350 | $350 | $650 |
| Additional approved invoice: $400 | $750 | $250 |
| Cleared payment of the first $350 invoice | $400 | $600 |
Arrange payment before work exceeds available credit
Before that payment clears, imagine another proposed job totals $300. With only $250 available, the job would exceed remaining credit by $50. An account approval does not automatically authorize that extra balance or reserve a crew.
PNW's current page identifies a deposit, card authorization or same-day payment as possible arrangements for over-limit work. Discuss the actual job and obtain approval for the payment arrangement before proceeding. The amount and method must be agreed; this example does not create a right to a $50 deposit or additional credit.
Use the payment terms approved for your program
PNW offers same-day payment, or Net 7 and Net 15 after agreement and account approval. Net 30 is not offered through this PNW application. Available credit and an invoice's due date answer different questions: remaining capacity does not extend the payment deadline.
Three consecutive invoices paid in full with cleared funds by their due dates unlock a limit review, not an automatic increase. PNW and JunkPDX also have separate commercial programs. Their credit limits, approvals and pricing do not transfer automatically. PNW accounts use quoted service pricing; JunkPDX’s commercial discounts belong to its separate program. Check which program issued the invoice before combining records or planning another job.
Common questions
Does each approved property receive its own $1,000 limit?
No. The approved PNW account shares its limit across approved locations. The $1,000 starting limit is subject to approval.
