THE SERVICE

A pickup that starts where your items are.

The crew can collect approved items from inside your home, a garage or an accessible outdoor pile. Describe the rooms, stairs and parking so the estimate reflects the actual job. JunkPDX, operated by Solely Junk LLC, performs current PNW pickups across Portland metro, Vancouver and south to Woodburn. Seattle and Boise are not booking yet.

Removal from inside

Furniture in a bedroom, household clutter in a basement or items spread across rooms. Tell us the floor, carrying route and everything that should leave.

An accessible outdoor pile

A driveway, garage entrance or curbside group can be reviewed for loading and haul-away. Describe all materials and keep the loading route clear.

A larger clearout

Several rooms or a mixed property load may need more time and truck capacity. Share the full collection rather than booking only the largest item.

One agreed scope from carrying to disposal.

The estimate should identify the items, where they sit and the work needed to remove them. Review the carrying, loading, transportation and disposal included in the total before approving the pickup. Point out belongings that stay so the crew has a clear boundary.

A hauling request does not automatically include demolition, utility disconnection, repairs or deep cleaning. Identify built-in equipment, attached structures and any disassembly when describing the job. Those details can change the visit and need review before work starts.

See how the estimate and pickup work

Tell us what makes up the load.

Couches, mattresses, tables, shelving, boxes and loose household contents are common requests. Appliances, electronics and outdoor equipment need their own description. Include the condition of wet, damaged or pest-affected items rather than showing only their size.

Keep chemicals, fuel, unknown containers and suspected contaminated material separate from ordinary junk. Ask about heavy equipment, cooling appliances, tires and batteries before including them. The crew confirms acceptance and any special handling in the estimate.

Check accepted items and special handling

Truck space is only part of the estimate.

Bulky furniture uses space; dense material can reach a weight limit while space remains. Carrying distance, stairs, handling and disposal also affect the work. A photo of one corner rarely explains a whole garage or a mixed renovation load.

Send wide photos of every pile and describe the material types. Photos can support a rough range, while the onsite review confirms the complete price. If you add items, approve the revised scope and total before they are loaded.

Understand junk removal pricing factors

Match the visit to your building and access.

Share stairs, narrow turns, elevators, long carries and parking limits before choosing a visit. For apartments and workplaces, arrange building access and any loading reservation. Identify who can show the items and approve the onsite estimate.

Standard pickups can often be hauled during the estimate visit after approval. Larger or unusual projects may need a separate plan. Available appointments depend on the address, project and crew schedule; check your booking receipt for confirmation.

SERVICE QUESTIONS

Before you book.

Do you carry junk out of the house?

Indoor carrying can be included. Explain the rooms, floors, stairs and access so the crew can review the work. Confirm carrying and any disassembly in the onsite estimate.

Is hauling included with junk removal?

The agreed removal scope includes loading and hauling the approved items away. Review disposal, special handling and any extra work in the complete total before the crew starts.

Can I combine furniture and other junk?

Yes, describe the whole collection for review. Identify appliances, dense debris and unusual materials separately so the crew can confirm what can travel in the same load.

Will usable items be donated or recycled?

The destination depends on material, condition, acceptance and logistics. Ask about the plan before approval. A hauling appointment does not guarantee donation, recycling or a donation receipt.

Can I arrange a pickup today?

Check current JunkPDX availability for your address and project. Same-day service is often available, but depends on the schedule. Pickup service operates Monday–Saturday; closed Sundays.
