Send a complete request at the outset
Include the ZIP, full service address, contact information, and a concise description of what needs removal. Add photos that show the complete material and its location. Missing address or scope details can prevent a useful availability review regardless of how flexible your preferred time may be.
Mention stairs, elevators, long carries, dense material, and large items in the first message. Short notice is not a reason to omit complications. The practical question is whether the actual job can be reviewed and accommodated, not whether a simplified version sounds easy to schedule.
Distinguish ready work from pending decisions
Identify the items already approved for removal and explain anything still being sorted. If a family member must decide about furniture or a building manager must arrange access, say so. A request described as ready should not depend on unresolved steps that could materially change the visit.
For illustration, one sofa and a clearly defined garage pile can be reviewed more coherently than “whatever is left after we pack.” If packing is ongoing, provide a current scope and explain the uncertainty. An additional pile later in the day requires another scope discussion.
State your real availability
Give the periods when an authorized person can meet the crew and any property restrictions. A flexible preference can be helpful, but do not promise unrestricted access if an elevator or loading area has limited hours. Keep your phone available for the review and confirmation process.
Understand any offered arrival window as an arrival interval, not a completion promise. If the request supports a deadline, such as handing over keys, disclose the deadline separately. The booking contact needs to review both the possible arrival and the work that would follow.
Prepare a workable fallback
If same-day availability cannot be confirmed, identify which later times could work and whether the project can remain in place. Avoid placing material in shared areas based only on a submitted request. Confirm the collection arrangement before staging and keep ordinary hauling separate from restricted or specialist tasks.
PNW’s current active service is Portland–Vancouver through JunkPDX, subject to ZIP, address, and scope review. Seattle and Boise are not open. If a visit is confirmed, the crew still reviews the actual job onsite and you approve the final amount before loading begins.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Details worth settling early
Does requesting today mean pickup is confirmed today?
No. The ZIP, address, scope, and availability must be reviewed and a visit confirmed. A submitted request should not be treated as a scheduled appointment.
Should I move everything outside while I wait?
Confirm an appropriate collection arrangement first. Do not create an outside or shared-area pile on the assumption that a same-day request will be accepted.
Can I add more items if a crew becomes available?
Disclose additions before loading so the scope can be reviewed. More material can change volume, weight, labor, access needs, and the final amount that requires your approval.
