Identify the appointment clearly
Provide the service address, booking contact name, and the date or arrival window you are asking to change. State directly that you need a schedule review. A message about being unavailable should not depend on the recipient inferring which appointment or property is affected.
Use the agreed booking contact or channel and ask for clear confirmation of the updated arrangement. Do not create a second request while assuming the first visit has automatically disappeared. The useful outcome is an understood schedule status, rather than two conflicting sets of appointment expectations.
Explain the readiness issue that matters
Describe the constraint in practical terms: an unavailable onsite contact, unfinished sorting, a lost elevator reservation, or another property conflict. You do not need to provide unnecessary personal information. The relevant details are those that determine when the actual removal scope and access can be ready.
For illustration, an apartment cleanout delayed by a service-elevator change needs more than a new preferred day. The revised request should include when the elevator arrangement will be available. Otherwise, a replacement arrival window could repeat the same unresolved access problem.
Refresh the inventory before the new visit
A delay often changes the project. Some items may be donated or retained, while additional material may accumulate. Send a current inventory and updated photographs if the difference is meaningful. Do not rely on old images when they no longer show the quantity or condition being presented.
Flag new heavy items, dense material, different collection rooms, and loading changes separately. These details can affect the accepted scope as well as availability. Final pricing still reflects volume, weight, labor, and access and requires onsite approval before any loading begins.
Confirm timing without making assumptions
Offer the times when an authorized contact and the required property access can actually be available. Review the replacement arrival interval as arrival timing, not a completion promise. If a move-out, inspection, or other fixed event creates a deadline, state that separately for review.
PNW currently coordinates Portland–Vancouver requests through JunkPDX and checks ZIP, address, and scope. This guide does not establish a cancellation fee, free-change policy, or guaranteed replacement slot. Ask the booking representative about the terms and confirmed status of your specific appointment before changing related arrangements.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Details worth settling early
Does submitting a new request cancel my old appointment?
Do not assume that. Contact the booking representative about the existing appointment and obtain clear confirmation of the schedule change so expectations do not conflict.
Can I keep the same estimate after postponing?
The scope may have changed during the delay. Provide current information and review the final onsite amount before loading rather than assuming an earlier discussion applies unchanged.
Is a replacement slot guaranteed?
No. Your revised availability and actual scope need review. Treat a preferred date or window as a request until the replacement appointment has been confirmed.
